Smalti

Undulating handmade glass tesserae made by the famous Dona of Spilimbergo, Italy, using centuries' old smalti recipes. Brilliant and resonant colour with high gloss and sheen. Each tesserae measures approx 1x2cm and 0.5cm thick and weighs approx 3g. Smalti can be laid on its side, front and back for textural and colour variation. It can be used to create flat surfaces using the indirect method and may be left ungrouted if desired. 1kg covers slightly more than 625 sq cm. [25 x 25 cm]
