WEEKEND MOSAIC WORKSHOPS WITH NATHALIE VIN - East Dulwich, London area
Nathalie holds weekend mosaic workshops from her studio in London, for all levels of ability and all backgrounds. You will leave the class with a great sense of what mosaic is all about. The course takes a very hands-on approach. After some initial tutoring you will be thrown directly into your own creation.
The student can work on any surface of their choice. For instance on wood, an object, or on mesh.
A large assortment of tiles are available for your creative pursuits (venetian mosaic tiles, ceramics, broken plates, pebbles, mirrors and other found treasures), however please feel free to bring any broken crockery that is waiting to start a new life!

Where: The weekend workshops are run from our spacious, sunny workshop space in East Dulwich, London. The location is an 8 minute walk from East Dulwich railway station, which in turn is just 10-12 minutes by train from London Bridge station. For those driving, there is ample, unrestricted, free street parking.

EVENING WORKSHOPS - Tooting, London area
Evening Workshops and Mosaic Maker Drop-In's in South London
Weekly evening mosaic workshops in 7 week blocks. Each evening runs from 8-10pm at the studio of Concetta in Tooting, London SW17. The course is suitable for beginners to intermediates and is run in a small class with lots of individual attention. During the course you can expect to make a small mosaic and gain knowledge about the variety of mosaic materials, tools, techniques, glues, suppliers, different mosaic methods and various do's and don'ts. She also runs Mosaic Maker Drop-In's on Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings for those with previous experience.

Learn to make a mosaic on these fun, friendly and informal one or two day courses held in Saffron Walden, in Essex. With skilled teachers Anne Cardwell and Gill Howe (both members of BAMM) and a dazzling array of materials, after just one day even a beginner will take home something fabulous for the house or garden.

Easy to travel from London, it is just a few minutes walk from Newport BR Station, which is on the Cambridge to Liverpool St & Tottenham Hale line, or 10 mins drive from junc 8 M11, (there’s plenty of parking). We are 20 minutes south of Cambridge and 15 minutes north of Bishops Stortford.

MOSAIC DAY COURSES - Partridge Green, West Sussex area
Ever wanted to experience the excitement of making your own mosaic? Well now you can! This one day workshop with artist Kay Enness will give you an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of mosaic making in a friendly and sociable environment. This course is especially designed for small groups of beginners.
Everything you will need is provided for you. On the day, choose from a selection of designs, especially tailored for learning the basic techniques. Throughout the day you will be guided through the process of making your mosaic with expert advice on hand and personal tuition from an experienced mosaic artist. With a lot of laughs and socialising along the way, you will return home with your own personalised masterpiece!
Price: £75 Price includes: A complete mosaic kit (with materials and a full set of instructions); lunch and all day refreshments (including home-made cakes); learning the basic techniques for mosaic making; access to extra kits, tiles, mosaic accessories and equipment.

MOSAIC WORKSHOP - Lifton, Devon

Course date: Saturday 5 November 2011
This introductory course with West Country Creative will give you a great foundation from which you can continue to design and make at home. Students will learn how to plan a piece, considering colour, shape, pattern and scale. They will then make their own mosaic using glass and/or ceramic tiles and/or other recycled items such as mirror and crockery, cutting, shaping, laying and grouting the elements and applying the design to an item from a range supplied or you can bring your own to decorate such as a tray, place mat, flower pot, vase or picture frame. Everyone will go home with a finished piece at the end of the day.
West Country Creative is located 5 minutes from the A30 on the Devon/Cornwall border. We run a range of art and craft workshops, including mosaics. Students who completed this course in the spring said:

Spend a day creating an individual mosaic wall plaque for your home or garden. You will be supplied with a wooden base and an exciting mix of weather proof tiles to create your own colourful design. Mosaic artist Julie Vernon will guide you through the techniques of cutting and shaping tiles, providing lots of inspiration along the way to help you get the very best out of your design.
One day courses run throughout the year at £50 including all materials and refreshments.
