MOSAICS CLASSES WITH OLIVER BUDD - Canterbury area
Fantastic chance for a summer workshop with mosaic Grand Master, Oliver Budd! We're offering a selection of dates for the summer period with Oliver Budd as our visiting expert - he brings his wealth of experience as a tutor at Chelsea School of Art and creator of numerous mosaic commissions worldwide.
This class is for all levels of student experience: for beginners an introduction to basic mosaic techniques; or for the more experienced a chance to expand your knowledge and gain advice and assistance on new techniques. Make your own beautiful creation to take away with you, or bring a project you are currently working on. Huge range of items to work with - enjoy the beautiful colours and almost edible qualities of exquisite, very tactile, shimmering and iridescent mosaic tiles.
Join us for classes from 10 - 4pm with a break for a delicious buffet lunch. Food and refreshments included in the price, mosaic materials according to use. All the tools you require are provided. £80 per person, materials charge on the day approximately £10 - £25 depending on items selected. We require a £30 deposit to book your place with the £50 balance to be paid before the day. WEEKEND MOSAIC WORKSHOPS - East Dulwich, London area
Nathalie holds weekend mosaic workshops from her workshop in London, for all levels of ability and all backgrounds. You will leave the class with a great sense of what mosaic is all about. The course takes a very hands on approach. After some initial tutoring you will be thrown directly into your own creation.
The student can work on any surface of their choice. For instance wood, an object, or on mesh.
A large assortment of tiles are available for your creative pursuits (venetian mosaic tiles, ceramics, broken plates, pebbles, mirrors and other found treasures), however please feel free to bring any broken crockery that is waiting to start a new life!
Cost: Price including all materials and lunch :
1-day course: £70
2-day course: £130
Where: The weekend workshops are run from our spacious, sunny workshop space in East Dulwich, London. The location is an 8 minute walk from East Dulwich railway station, which in turn is just 10-12 minutes by train from London Bridge station. For those driving by car, there are free and ample off street parking spaces available.

MOSAIC DAY COURSES - Saffron Walden, Essex area
Learn to make a mosaic on these fun, friendly and informal one or two day courses held in Saffron Walden, in Essex. With skilled teachers Anne Cardwell and Gill Howe (both members of BAMM) and a dazzling array of materials, after just one day even a beginner will take home something fabulous for the house or garden.
Courses every month, see website for dates. Saffron Walden is 15 miles south of Cambridge and 45 miles from central London (via M11), it is convenient for Suffolk, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire - our students come from all over.

MOSAIC DAY COURSES - Partridge Green, West Sussex area
Ever wanted to experience the excitement of making your own mosaic? Well now you can! This one day workshop with artist Kay Enness will give you an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of mosaic making in a friendly and sociable environment. This course is especially designed for small groups of beginners.
Everything you will need is provided for you. On the day, choose from a selection of designs, especially tailored for learning the basic techniques. Throughout the day you will be guided through the process of making your mosaic with expert advice on hand and personal tuition from an experienced mosaic artist. With a lot of laughs and socialising along the way, you will return home with your own personalised masterpiece!
Price: £75 Price includes: A complete mosaic kit (with materials and a full set of instructions); lunch and all day refreshments (including home-made cakes); learning the basic techniques for mosaic making; access to extra kits, tiles, mosaic accessories and equipment.
Workshop venue, dates and times:
Workshops will be held in Partridge Green, West Sussex.
Courses will run each month during 2010 on a Saturday - 9am - 4.30pm.
A deposit of £25 will be required at time of booking.
